The glass is thick enough that I don't worry about cracks when I rinse it under hot water, and the wooden collar fits snugly without any wobble. Brewing six cups feels like a small ritual now, and the coffee stays hot for a surprisingly long time after I pour.
Pouring my morning brew through this thing feels like a little ritual, and the glass is so thin and clear you can watch every drop filter through. The 6-cup size is perfect for two big mugs, and cleanup is just a quick rinse since there's no metal mesh to scrub.
