Dark Kenya AA — Roasted Coffee

Experience one of Africa's most celebrated coffees in its richest form. Our Dark Kenya AA is a single-origin dark roast that balances bold body with the bright, wine-like fruit flavors Kenya is world-renowned for — a combination rarely achieved at deeper roast levels.

Bold, Fruited & Full of Depth

Grown by smallholder farmers in Bungoma County, each with fewer than 200 carefully tended trees, this Kenya AA coffee begins with hand-picked cherries delivered to the wet mill on the same day they're harvested. Same-day delivery isn't just a detail — it's the difference between exceptional coffee and ordinary coffee. From there, the cherries go through rigorous hand-sorting, traditional wet processing, and slow sun-drying on raised African drying beds before final dry milling. Every step is designed to preserve the flavors that make Kenyan AA coffee a benchmark for specialty roasters worldwide.

In the cup, expect an extra bold body with a sweetness that surprises, savory floral notes that linger, and the signature wine-like fruit character that wet-processed Kenyan coffees deliver like no other origin on earth. Despite the deep roast, the brightness never disappears — it's what sets this coffee apart.

Whether you're brewing pour-over, French press, or espresso, Dark Kenya AA delivers a complex, satisfying cup that rewards attention.

Robert Z. ★★★★★

I usually take my coffee black, and this Kenya AA holds up perfectly that way — the wine-like fruitiness still comes through even with the dark roast. It's bold without tasting burnt, which is rare in this category.

Emily J. ★★★★★

I was worried a dark roast would bury the fruit notes, but this Kenya AA keeps that bright edge right up front. The body is heavy and syrupy, and it still tastes clean through a French press.

Natalie U. ★★★★★

That wine-like brightness really does come through even with the dark roast—it’s bold and full-bodied but never bitter in my French press. I’ve already ordered a second bag because the first one went way too fast.
