Cascara (Coffee Cherry) - Botanical Tea Bags

Cascara, Spanish for “husk and/or skin” is the dried fruit of the coffee cherry. Though a seemingly wasted portion of the coffee harvesting process, Cascara has actually been consumed for longer than roasted and brewed coffee in Arabia.

Cascara has a sweet and tart flavor, much like raisins. Once the cherry has been separated from the coffee seed (bean), the juicy fruit is dehydrated in ovens. The final product is a hard, dried fruit that can be steeped into a caffeinated, tea-like beverage filled with antioxidants.

Do not use Cascara if you are sensitive to caffeine or have a heart condition as it contains caffeine. Please consult your physician before use, especially if you are pregnant or nursing.

Natalie ★★★★★

The tea bags steep into this light, fruity cup that tastes like cherry and honey without any bitterness. I've been drinking it iced in the afternoons and it's replaced my second coffee run completely.

Daniel ★★★★★

Tried this as an afternoon pick-me-up and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and fruity it tastes, unlike any coffee I’ve had. The fact that it’s made from the dried coffee cherry itself gives it a subtle sweetness that doesn’t need any added sugar. Definitely my new favorite way to get a gentle

I've been drinking this in the afternoon instead of a second coffee and it's such a nice change. The tea bags steep into a light, fruity cup with a faint raisin sweetness, nothing like actual coffee. Only wish the box came with more than the few bags I went through in a week.
