I usually take my coffee with cream, but these pods are so smooth I've been drinking them black. The lemon note is subtle, and the candied honey sweetness comes through without being cloying. Even as a dark roast, it never tastes burnt.

I was worried a dark roast would bury the lemon, but it's still there underneath the candied-honey sweetness. Works great in my old machine too, no clogging or weak cups.

The lemon notes actually come through even with the darker roast, which I didn't expect from a pod. It's smooth enough to drink black, and the candied honey sweetness lingers a bit on the finish.
