Ginger Root, Zingiber officinale, is a zesty spice commonly cultivated around the equator. Ginger root is commonly used as a culinary spice for its aromatic and warming properties and has been utilized as such for thousands of years. It’s similar to both turmeric and cardamom, which are part of the same family, Zingiberaceae.

There’s a reason why everyone suggests ginger ale for an upset stomach. While sugary soda with very little real ginger in it might not be the true best call, actual ginger is commonly used to help support digestion and to relieve mild upset stomach and nausea. We suggest using our dried Ginger Root for teas and herbal infusions and it can also be used in cooking.

The smell when I opened the bag hit me right away—warm, zesty, and unmistakably fresh. I’ve been steeping a few chunks in hot water after dinner and it’s become my favorite way to unwind, leaving a nice warming tingle that lasts.

I’ve been steeping this in hot water after dinner and the heat it brings is genuinely soothing, not just spicy. The loose leaves look whole and fresh, with that earthy aroma filling the kitchen in minutes. It’s become my little evening ritual, and my stomach feels noticeably calmer.

This loose leaf ginger has that real, zesty kick I was hoping for, and just a teaspoon in hot water gets my stomach feeling settled. The aroma while it steeps is so warming, exactly what I need after meals lately.
